A passthrough allows passage between the habitation box and cab. It is a very popular accessory as it gives a great solution if weather conditions are poor, and you don’t want to exit the camper or if you are parked in a tight space and can’t use the access steps. People also like the comfort of being able to drive off without leaving the camper if a dangerous situation ever occurs.
We cut the appropriate sized hole in the rear of the cab and add in a reinforcing frame. In the front face of the box we mount Outbound’s cabin door which is key entry from the cab side and swings inwards. Between the two we mount a rubber bellow which ensures that the passage remains dry without restricting the all important articulation and relative movement between cab and habitation box.
It is worth noting that as the passthrough essentially creates a hole in the rear face of the cab, it does increase the sound levels in the cab whilst driving.

We can also fit larger Outbound cabin doors which do make it easier to get through, though in the Unimog the seats do somewhat restrict the width.
